Last night antics in Savannah. . .
After our corset fashion show. . .we were headed back to the hotel when the ghost of cupcakes present beckoned us to the nearest shop. . .six cupcakes in a go-box for later. Back at the hotel for a break so the girls could dress for dinner at the Pirate House. . .nice walk over, still steamy and no rain on our parade today!
Once agin the girls practiced their newly learned "Eti-Kit" (still need some practice to become permanent). She-crab soup, salad, mango-chile salmon, Jambalaya and pecan-crusted fried chicken (enough to share). We even experienced a Pirate House haunting when a knife fell to the floor without any help. . .spirits??? Hmmm--well, at least the "proper"young ladies knew what to do! Quick shopping stop in the gift shop and home to the Hampton once more.
Last chance for some fun, games, lots of laughing and giggling and retrieving of personal items left around both rooms. And, of course, time for cupcakes!
Thank you for giving your daughter the gift of time to experience Juliette Low's world. We are amazed how quickly they have bonded, never having met before this experience. We enjoyed being there to follow them along on this magical journey!
Fondly,
francy and Kandi
(No typo, francey with a little "f" is correct!)

Today is the day!
Today is our day at the Juliette Low Birthplace. . .tour (we will be looking for the items francey donated!), lunch in Chppewa Square, followed by our "Fashion and Frills" workshop.
What was it like to be a "fashionista" in Juliette's time? Could you stand wearing a corset and petticoats in this heat? No wonder they had "fainting" couches!
Here's a picture of the moonrise over Savannah. . .

Sunday afternoon in Savannah
Swimming in the pool, lunch at Shrimp factory, walking in the rain, catching the free DOT dash shuttle bus, movie tour, shopping on River Street. Where shall we eat dinner, girls??
Sunday in Savannah. . .
We toured the African Baptist Church, Trinity Church, John Wesley's Church, the first Methodist Church in the US, and Christ Church, where Juliette Gordon Low was baptized, confirmed, wed and had her funeral. Very steamy this morning.
Note to moms. . .if you don't hear from us, it's because we are very busy. We want to save some stories for when we see you at home! You don't really want us spening all of our time like this, do you?
